Central Management of MERGE is now complete

The latest employee of the Cluster of Excellence is Sabine Jegielka. She will support the Central Managment, which is now completed, as Team Assistant. Ms. Jegielka has a backround in business adminstration at the Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie Wiesbaden and several years experience as Management Assistant. She is responsible for all adminstrative and organisational duties of the project.

Good news for MERGE scientists!

The government of Saxony and the Chemnitz University of Technology are agreeing with the modalities of the future accommodation of MERGE. Saxony will finance a new research center at Chemnitz University of Technology, being built in west of the Central Lecture Hall Building. The first construction stage of the MTC Building is planned for 2014. All planning issues and procurement of the building project will be decided within this year. Meanwhile the new technical equipment will be stored at other rented locations as well as research activities will be take place.

Update on MERGE Website

During the last weeks we have continued working on our website. On the new menu item “Research Areas” you will find detailed information on the interacting research domains as well as the participating investigators of the cluster. In addition the English and German flyer can be downloaded under “Press and Media". Soon a short video spot showing the technology campus of the university will be added.

MERGE at the JEC Europe 2013

The Chemnitz University of Technology and MERGE will be hosts at the JEC Europe at the booth of Saxony (No. T66)
MERGE will take part in the JEC Europe 2013. The biggest composites exhibition in Europe and in the world takes place in Paris from the 12th to 14th March 2013. For the first time the Cluster of Excellence MERGE will be represented at an exhibition for more international visibility and to promote the International Conference MERGE Technologies – ICMT, which will be held in October 2013 in Chemnitz. At the JEC, you can visit us daily from 9am to 6pm at the booth of Saxony (No T66).
